Computer Automation Systems, Inc. (CAS) was founded in 1991 in Mountain Home, Arkansas as a technology development company. With a staff of 2 employees, CAS focused on delivering quality, custom development solutions. In 1996, while developing a transportation system for Springdale Public Schools, Computer Automation Systems, Inc. was engaged to investigate solutions for the paperwork overload that was rapidly consuming Springdale's special education department.
In partnership with Springdale staff, CAS recognized the challenges teachers and superintendents faced in the special education profession when complying with the reporting regulations for state and federal agencies. CAS undertook this challenging opportunity and developed an easy to use, understandable software package. As time progressed, the SEAS (Special Education Automation Software) program evolved into an all encompassing special education management tool.
Now the SEAS solution, designed by Special Educational professionals and built by Computer Automation, is known throughout the country for its ease-of-use, while Computer Automation is known for its stellar commitment to customer service.
Today, Computer Automation Systems, Inc. has a staff of over 100 professionals dedicated to making SEAS the best solution for special education automation in the country. From one customer in 1996, who has remained a customer to this day, we have grown to 1,800 school districts and rapidly expanding. Since 2004, school districts in eighteen new states have selected and implemented the SEAS program.
