Computer Automation Systems Announces Release and General Availability of CAS Illuminator™

Nation’s leading special education automation provider delivers management software solution for state Departments of Education to manage the Continuous Improvement Monitoring Process

Mountain Home, AR – November 14, 2008 – Computer Automation Systems Inc. (CAS), the nation’s leading provider of special education automation solutions, today announced the release and general availability of the CAS Illuminator™ software management solution.

CAS Illuminator is a software solution that allows State Departments of Education to more easily manage their Continuous Improvement Monitoring Process (CIMP).  CAS Illuminator manages Focused, Comprehensive, and Desktop monitoring events and lets the department build, manage, and report on monitoring outcomes.

“CAS Illuminator was developed in response to concerns expressed by monitoring staffs of several state departments regarding escalating costs and time lost retrieving and reviewing cumbersome paper files.” said Bob Bundy, CAS Product Director.  “They want to be proactive in working with their districts and not reviewing files for days.  CAS Illuminator does a lot of that time-consuming work in a fraction of the time.  That gives the monitoring staffs more time to spend with the district staffs.  It’s a better use of their time, lets them be more proactive, and gets the focus back on kids’ education and off of paperwork.”

CAS Illuminator was produced under a rapid-development project, taking just nine months from start to finish.  In addition to providing all of the features that state department end-users require to develop and manage their monitoring reports, CAS Illuminator also features an automated data import structure.  This allows the state department to provide a data map to all of their school districts so that IEP, timeline, and other data components can be seamlessly imported into CAS Illuminator.  This will allow for a quick and secure method of submitting data rather than requiring manual data entry.

Harvey Hughes, President and CEO of CAS, commented on the release of CAS Illuminator.  “Our special education solutions are installed in more than 35 states and helping teachers and districts every day.  We had many requests from State Departments of Education for tools that help them manage their efforts in special education.  We’ve felt a very close partnership with state departments through our common efforts to serve their state school districts.  It’s very exciting to be able to deliver this solution to them.”

CAS Illuminator is now available for general release.  For information, please call, toll-free, (877) 221-7327 and ask for Ms. Lydia Brasch.
