Natrona County School District # 1 Selects SEAS™ as Special Education Management Solution

Wyoming’s second largest district replaces legacy system with SEAS Total Special Education Management Solution.

Mountain Home, AR – October 9, 2008 – After a competitive bid process, Natrona County School District #1 has selected Computer Automation Systems’ (CAS) SEAS solution to automate their special education.

With offices in Casper, Natrona County #1 was searching for a solution with a proven track record for success.  “Our legacy system could not provide the level of service required by our district,” says Norman Cox, Natrona County # 1’s Electronic Data Systems Facilitator.  Cox adds, “It was important that the selected vendor have the capabilities to keep up, in real-time, with State changes.  SEAS had the best reputation throughout Wyoming, especially in customer service.”

“CAS is proud of our abilities to super-serve our customers,” says Darren Johnson, Vice President of Services.  “We’ve heard many times, from many districts, that no other vendor provides as high a level of service as CAS.”

Natrona #1 released specific requirements to be met during the bid process.  The SEAS Solution was best able to meet the district’s needs for state reporting and reflecting changes as well as interfacing with the SASIxp student information system.

“Our experiences proved to us that we needed a solution and a vendor that could keep up with the constant mandated changes to information our district is required to report.  CAS was able to provide solid evidence and examples for districts here, in Wyoming; not districts in other states,” says Cox.

Included in CAS’ “super-serve” philosophy is the mindset that mandated changes are not system updates.   “These changes are required by the State, not an enhancement to the product,” says Johnson, “SEAS would not be an effective tool if we couldn’t keep our districts up to date with changes they must adhere to and, deliver those changes at no charge.  In a very short time, we’ve proven to Wyoming districts that we can and will be their partner in managing their special education programs.  We are very excited and gratified to be selected to partner with Natrona #1.”
