Security
The SEAS family of products are designed with extensive security features to allow school districts to comply with security requirements including HIPAA and FERPA. A partial listing of SEAS security features includes:
- Role-based security
- Read-only security
- Users only see students assigned to them
- Automatic user account lock on invalid login attempts
- Automatic save
- Idle time-out logout
SEAS contains full audit trail capabilities that identify when student data changes have been made in addition to which staff member made the adjustments. Additionally, with confidential data access being such a key issue, the SEAS audit trail tracks when student information is accessed, even if it is in view-only mode.
For CAS-hosted customers, SEAS uses the same 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology that banks, commerce sites, and governmental agencies deploy to secure their data. This ensures security and confidentiality for all of your critical data. If you're interested in learning more about secured hosting, click here.
